What is the conference?
The XVIII Conference of the Inter-American Government Procurement Network will be held in Asuncion, Paraguay, on February 21, 22 and 23, 2024 at the Paseo "La Galeria", the event is supported by the Organization of American States (OAS), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Development Research Centre of Canada and the Caribbean Development Bank.
The conference will explore the most important trends in global public procurement where experienced national and international professionals will share their knowledge through keynote lectures and roundtable discussions.
The central theme of this edition focuses on highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships to promote the sustainable and efficient development of government projects and services.
Various aspects will be addressed, such as successful models of public-private partnerships in different countries, best practices for the implementation of joint projects and the crucial role played by multilateral and financial institutions in facilitating these partnerships. In addition, concrete cases of successful collaboration between government and business will be analyzed, highlighting mutual benefits and lessons learned.
